The 23rd Serpentine Pavilion, titled Archipelagic Void, opens to the public on 7 June. It’s a zen space that tries to do a lot.’The pavilion was built around its organic relationship with the enchanting nature of the surrounding nature of Hyde Park in mind,’ explained its creator, Minsuk Cho, founder of architecture firm Mass Studies.The structure consists of five ‘islands’ arranged in a star formation around a central open space inspired by madang, the small courtyards found in old Korean houses.
