From September 26, 2026, to January 14, 2027, the Beyeler Foundation’s new complex will gradually open its doors to the public. The institution, which houses an outstanding collection of modern and contemporary art, opened on October 18, 1997, in Riehen, near Basel, in a building designed by Renzo Piano. The new project, designed by Peter Zumthor, consists of three independent buildings—each with different functions and material qualities—integrated into the historic park: the Wyss Museum, the Ammann Pavilion, and the Torhaus.
