On June 26, thousands of guests flocked to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s “First Look Reception” to view the newly constructed David Geffen Galleries. Visitors wandered through the building – not yet installed with art – to a soundtrack of music composed by bandleader and saxophonist Kamasi Washington, brought to life by over 100 musicians interspersed throughout the space.
