In the mass of more than 700 photos exhibited, it is clear that Baan superficially photographs architecture, but that his visual interest is above all for people and their different understanding of spaces worth living in.

In conversation with FAZ.NET, Iwan Baan explains his way of working, which is closer to classic documentary photography than the often published individual photos of large-scale architectural projects suggest.
