Chiringuito Café, designed by SelgasCano, is a vibrant, semi-open beach pavilion that reimagines the classic Spanish chiringuito as a sculptural architectural gesture. Nestled along Rizhao’s shoreline, the café features a kaleidoscope of angled steel tubes, corrugated metal roofing, and translucent acrylic panels, all in bold, refreshing polychrome hues.
The structure functions as both a welcoming social hub and a playful design statement: steel frames that double as benches, multicolored canopy sections that dance above the sand, and a lightweight, permeable form that encourages airflow and natural light.
