The Swiss Pavilion is conceived by Manuel Herz as an architecture of lightness and exchange. Four interconnected membrane spheres form a soft, porous structure that touches the ground lightly and can be assembled and disassembled with minimal impact. The architecture embodies the pavilion’s idea of Switzerland as a culture moving fluidly between tradition and advanced innovation, with Heidi acting as a symbolic bridge between the two.
Designed with NUSSLI Group, Bellprat Partner, and Robin Winogrond, the pavilion uses its airy, open geometry to guide visitors through interactive environments organized around Augmented Human, Life, and Planet. Architecture becomes both infrastructure and narrative, presenting Swiss creativity as adaptable, collaborative, and oriented toward a sustainable future.
