Located in the heart of Dhaka’s upscale Gulshan neighborhood, the Gulshan Society Jame Mosque reinterprets traditional Islamic architecture through a minimalist and contemporary lens. Designed by Kashef Chowdhury of URBANA, the mosque rises as a monolithic structure clad in white concrete, evoking a serene and contemplative atmosphere.
The five-story building accommodates over 2,500 worshippers while maintaining a sense of calm intimacy. Light filters through perforated walls and a skylit central atrium, creating a tranquil interplay of shadow and illumination. The design emphasizes purity, geometry, and quiet spirituality, offering a modern sacred space rooted in local context.
