The Mexico City home and studio of sculptor Pedro Reyes and fashion designer Carla Fernandez combines brutalist concrete with creative flourishes. Located in Coyoacán, the Pedro Reyes House features crazy paving floors, a double-height concrete library, and a cantilevered staircase leading to a gallery above the lounge.
Designed by the couple—Reyes originally trained as an architect—the home reflects Mexican modernism and brutalism, with influences from Luis Barragán. Built for themselves and their two children, the concrete structure serves as both residence and workspace.
Inside, a monumental concrete bookcase dominates the main living area, filled with sculptures and eclectic furniture. Furnishings include the couple’s own designs—like Reyes’ Mano-Sillas chairs and a geodesic light
