Plasencia auditorium and congress center – Selgas Cano
Palacio de Congresos de Plasencia, 2017
With an open day and a concert by the Orchestra of Extremadura, the Palacio de Congresos de Plasencia officially opened on June 22 2017. Completed in 2013, the building is located on Luis Velez de Guevara Street, on the outskirts of the city, taking advantage of the steep slope of the land. With a constructed area of 6,549 square meters, the faceted volume is projected with a pronounced cantilever to occupy the smallest space in the plot. The piece has a translucent skin that allows for seeing the interior lighting from outside. From a ramp, you access the main lobby, flooded with orange tones, which extends through the building to a viewpoint. T
