Thread is a cultural and community hub located in the rural village of Sinthian, in southeastern Senegal. Designed by Toshiko Mori, the center hosts a dynamic artist residency program, welcoming both local and international artists to live and work on site.
The facility includes two artist dwellings, along with flexible indoor and outdoor studio spaces. Beyond serving the arts, Thread functions as a gathering place for the local community—supporting education, agriculture, and cultural exchange in a sustainable and inspiring environment.
