“This is a very large site site where regulations prevented a high rise. The central idea is: How to develop a mass which is a large, yet broken up scale so you see many layers as you move from one space to another. We started looking at how we could create connections over the ground,where the building became more like a web connecting everything together.” – Zaha Hadid

The Galaxy SOHO project in central Beijing for SOHO China is a 330 000m2 office, retail and entertainment complex that will become an integral part of the living city, inspired by the grand scale of Beijing.
