House K, Hyogo Japan – Sou Fujimoto

2013

“The roof is not just a roof, but it becomes more like a sloping landscape. The circulation is found through the outside and the inside. House K is indeed a strange shape, and I see it almost not like a house, but more like an urban landscape. ”  – Sou Fujimoto

The house, for a couple with one child, is wedged into a long and narrow “flagpole” site in a typical residential district in Nishinomiya, a medium-sized city between Osaka and Kobe.
